4/23/2001, DRAPER, Ut - Pentalon Construction is the general contractor for the Redwood Dental Center being built for Redwood Dental Specialists. The project is located at 6289 South Redwood Road in Taylorsville, Utah. The project was designed by Pasker Gould Ames & Weaver, engineering was provided by Dunn & Associates for structural engineering, Thomas & Associates for electrical engineering and Olsen & Peterson for mechanical engineering.
The 23,479 sq. ft., $1,659,500, project consists of a two story steel structure with single ply membrane roofing. The exterior of the building will be EIFS and glazed glass. The scope of work Pentalon Construction will perform includes erection and finishing of the building shell and the lobby. Individual offices will be finished separately.
Demolition of four existing homes located on the site is scheduled to begin April 23 following asbestos abatement in all four homes, which is currently in progress. Excavation and site work is scheduled to begin April 30 with footings and foundations following shortly thereafter.
The project manager is Shay Johansen; the project superintendent is Ed Flower.
