PENTALON CONSTRUCTION STARTS WORK ON BOSTON BUILDING
12/1/2007, Draper, UT - The Boston Building and Newhouse Buildings are two of the most historic buildings in downtown Salt Lake City. Built at the turn of the century, they were the first steel high rise structures in the state. The buildings are located on the old Exchange Place, just off of Main Street. With the recent purchase of the Boston Building, Hamilton Partners has contracted with Pentalon Construction to complete a total interior demo, of both architectural and infrastructure. The core of the building will be maintained and refurbished to return it to its former prestige. The building will also receive new utility elevator and electrical/communications systems. When complete, the Boston Building will offer nearly 100,000 SQFT of office space in downtown Salt Lake. Dan Rasmussen is the Project Manager, and Ron Vincent is the onsite superintendent. Pentalon Construction is working with EDA Architects (Salt Lake City), Wasatch Electric, and Rocky Mountain Mechanical on this design build project.
