PENTALON CONSTRUCTION LAUNCHES NEW WEB SITE |

3/13/2002, DRAPER, Ut - Pentalon Construction announced the launch of Phase I of its new web site today, the result of a 6 month project to revamp the previous Pentalon Construction web site. The project was completed by the in-house Information Systems staff at Pentalon Construction to facilitate integration with various database systems in use at the company and for quality and cost control purposes.
Phase I of the new web site includes many new features and enhancements designed to provide easy access to a wealth of online information for potential clients, sub-contractors, suppliers and employees. On-line bid information and access to plan sets for electronic take-offs are available in the new Bid Center, updated project information and photo archives are available in the Past and Current Project sections, a new Safety area was created with updated safety information and a new News Center was created for press releases and announcements.
A lot design time was devoted to menuing and site navigation. As a result the new menuing system is more intuitive and easier to use than the previous Pentalon Construction web site. A new context sensitive help system was designed and incorporated into the site to provide users with answers to commonly asked questions regarding use of the site.
Phase II of the new web site will provide owners, sub-contractors, suppliers and employees with secure access to information specific to each user such as bid results, bid history, detailed project reports and information, access to pay request forms and much more. This second phase is currently under development by Pentalon Construction's in-house Information Systems staff and is scheduled to be released incrementally over the next six months. |
