9/24/2001, DRAPER, Ut - Pentalon Construction is the general contractor for the Central High School addition and remodel being performed for Granite School District. The project is located at 500 East 3900 South in Salt Lake City. The project was designed by the Pinegar Design Group.
The $6,065,143 project will provide a new high school for the Granite School District. The project consists of two phases of construction. The first phase, which is currently underway, involves the demolition of portions of the existing Lincoln Elementary School located on the site and the construction of the new Central High School on the North end of the property. This phase is scheduled to be completed before the beginning of the 2002 school year. The second phase of the project involves the completion of the demolition of the elementary school building and completion of the parking area and baseball field on the south end of the property.
Demolition of the sections of Lincoln Elementary school required for phase one are complete. Footing and foundation work is complete and masonry block is being laid.
The project manager is Rick Garrett; the project superintendent is Mike Day.
